Gordon Haist

Chief Executive Officer

Gord has devoted more than the last 30 years of his career to the beverage alcohol industry, 21 of those with Seagram. Following the sale of Seagram, Gord joined Mark Anthony Brands. He has experience in all major Canadian markets and has held senior management responsibility for the sales and marketing of a full portfolio of brands from all categories.

Peter Kirkwood

Vice President, Sales

Peter has more than 16 years' experience with the organization. Four years were spent in the field as a sales representative in Ontario, and in 2004 he joined head office to work on a national level on inventory management, pricing and as the liaison between marketing and sales, to further develop our merchandising efforts.

Andrew Green

Vice President, Marketing

Andrew was a founder of Diamond Estates, which originated in 1997 with his startup agency Boka Wines & Spirits Ltd. Since that time Andrew has had experience at every level of the beverage alcohol industry, from store calls and head office calls to most recently the VP of Marketing at Diamond Estates. Prior to starting his agency in 1997, Andrew was a corporate lawyer in Toronto.

Russell Sandham

Director of Marketing, Wines

Russell has 30 years' beverage alcohol industry experience and has special expertise in wines and scotch whisky. He spent eight years in sales for Chateau des Charmes, one of Canada's prestige winemakers, and 10 years with UDV Canada (now Diageo Canada) before helping to form The Kirkwood Group and is now an integral part of the brand team.

Mike McVean

Marketing Communications

Mike has been working in consumer and trade communications since 1977. In years spent as a newspaper reporter, magazine editor and publisher, graphic designer and Director of Publishing Services for Southam's business press division, he has honed his ability to deliver the right message - on target. Mike joined Brian and Russell to help form The Kirkwood Group in 1998.

Nancy Ferrante

Inventory Coordinator

Nancy joined the team in 2013 from Del Monte Canada, Canadian leader in packaged fruit and vegetables, where she and her team were responsible for all inventory, warehousing and distribution. Nancy has more than 20 years’ experience in logistics, distribution and inventory management.

Tim Farrell

Brand Manager

Tim joins Kirkwood Diamond Canada with eight years’ experience in the beverage alcohol industry. After starting his career in advertising, he moved to Corby Distilleries in an analyst role. He then transitioned to Corby’s brand marketing team, where he managed several global and domestic brands in the vodka, rum and liqueur categories. Tim has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from Dalhousie University.

Toni Backstrom

Brand Manager

Toni joined the Kirkwood management team in 2006, bringing with her a wealth of more than 30 years' sales and marketing experience from several industries, including beverage alcohol, communications, IT and entertainment. Prior to joining us she was with Mark Anthony Brands, where she worked within the management team on the wines, beers and RTD portfolios.

Liz Campbell

Assistant Brand Manager

Liz joined Kirkwood Diamond Canada in 2014 bringing with her 18 years sales and marketing experience in the beverage alcohol industry. Many of those years were with Maxxium Canada where she was Marketing Coordinator then moved to Executive Assistant to the VP Marketing and the VP Sales. Prior to joining KDC she was with PMA Canada where she was Trade Marketing Coordinator managing the Atlantic Region.

Karen Lockhart

Assistant Brand Manager

Karen joined our team in October of 2008. She brings 23 years' experience in the beverage alcohol industry, most of those with Maxxium Canada. Most recently, Karen managed some of that company's third-party wine brands in Ontario, including Maison Louis Latour, Lurton and Maison Brotte.

Curry Scott

British Columbia Sales Manager

Curry has more than 20 years' experience in the beverage alcohol industry, most recently with Constellation Brands where he was the Corporate Accounts Manager for Retail and Duty Free in BC. Curry previously held a variety of sales and management positions at Vincor Canada.


Jason Park

Alberta Sales Manager

Jason has more than 15 years of beverage alcohol experience, including more than 10 years with Andrew Peller Ltd., working in both the B.C. and Alberta markets. As Western Canadian Key Accounts Manager, Jason has built strong relationships, and has experience in both the retail and licensee channels.


Neil Bryce

Saskatchewan Territory Manager

Neil has incredible in-market knowledge as he has 34 years of experience with the SLGA. As a Provincial Franchise Manager from 2005 to 2010 Neil introduced many new products into the franchises to increase their sales and their bottom lines for the SLGA. Prior to that he was a store manager in Watson for 13 years, so understands the inner workings of the SLGA, the HO staff, their policies, the plannograms, store programming, merchandising and how to sell to stores. Neil joined KDC in May 2015.


Ed McGurry

Manitoba Sales Manager

In the beverage alcohol industry since 1989, including almost 15 years' sales experience with MolsonCoors Canada, Ed also worked in the Wine industry with Vincor, as well as with the MLCC at store level. He has extensive experience both at retail and on-premise in the Private channel in Manitoba and prides himself on the many relationships he has built over the years within the industry.


Marc Laverdiere

Ontario Sales Director

Marc joins KDC with extensive experience in the Ontario market, having worked with Diageo, Mark Anthony as a Territory Rep, Charton Hobbs as Sales Supervisor for the East, Authentic Wine and Spirits as Ontario Sales Director, and most recently as Ontario Sales Manager for Roust Canada.  Marc has experience with every category and is intimately familiar with the LCBO, its processes and people. He is a strategic business planner and will collaborate well with head office staff, while also motivating and organizing his team to execute with excellence.

Craig Bembridge

Atlantic Canada Sales Manager

Raised in New Brunswick and a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. Craig currently resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Craig has lived in three of the four Atlantic Provinces. These experiences in each province has allowed him to experience the subtleties of each market and afforded him the ability to develop insights into each market.
Craig has 13 years’ experience in the alcohol beverage industry in Atlantic Canada.He first started with Kriscott Distributors Limited as a Territory Manager in St. John’s Newfoundland. He then went on to become Provincial Manager for Newfoundland and Labrador with Bacardi Canada. Craig moved to Halifax in 2007 and took on the role of Atlantic Sales Manager for Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits.
As the Atlantic Sales Manager for Kirkwood Diamond Canada, Craig acts the liaison between Suppliers, Brand Managers and the four provincial Liquor Jurisdictions. He works strategically with the Brand Management Team and Suppliers to build brands and execute brand plans.
