Old St. Andrews
Old St Andrews' Blenders have been in the whisky trade for 75 years and have also recently become distillers in their own right. This expertise, combining the knowledge of both the blending and distillation skills, and the wide arrange of malts available to our blenders, is encapsulated in Old St Andrews unique and cherished flavour. The company was born 25 years ago in conjunction with the Tomatin Distillers Company when both parties set out under a united front to market high quality whiskies under the brand name of Old St Andrews.
Ten years on from the company's launch, Old St Andrews made headway in the duty free market when it reacted with a number of successful niche blended whisky products specifically intended for sale within this market. Since this point Old St Andrew's has continued to develop and the brand now carries two Scotch whisky brands in addition to its gift orientated 'Par 3' brand. These are 'Clubhouse', a five year old blend and 'Whisky Barrel', a 10 year old single malt.
In November 2005 Old St. Andrews purchased by John Donald who revised the product range and refreshed the logo to provide clearer brand focus. 2007 saw Old St Andrews make it's first major stride outside of the whisky area and launch the award winning 'Pink 47' London dry gin. Another exciting milestone for Old St Andrews was reached in April, 2008, following the acquisition of the company by new owner, Bob Gorton. Bob intends to build on the brand platform and grow the business globally.
